Support, Volunteer and Donate Langston thrives on donations, both financial and in-kind! Everything at Langston is a result of a donation or grant. Text books are the only item provided to charter schools by the state Department of Education or the local school district. We are currently raising money by asking each family to make a donation to the Leadership Circle. As of October 1, 2007 we have raised $45,400 on our way to our goal of $80,000. In 2005 every family in the Inaugural Class contributed to The Founders Circle which helped to open Langston. Contributing to the Leadership Circle is your opportunity to expand the circle and build on the tradition of those before you. Your contribution will not only help your son or daughter this year but will help pave the way for those still to come. The name of each student who participates will be engraved on a plaque to hang in the school. Contributions are still being accepted. “At Langston, Lauren is a known person, not just a ‘numbered student’ and because the kids stay together all day long they’ve developed a true sense of community. I’m happy to contribute to advance the mission of the school and create a viable alternative for future generations.” “Everyday when I send my daughter to school at Langston, I am reminded of just how blessed she is and our entire family is for this school. She is yet to know just what an impact this place will have on her life. I know this world will be a better place. That’s why we have invested our hearts, our time and our money in Langston.” "My contribution to LCMS is driven by my desire to see the school grow and expand its availability to more middle school students. My child is 'graduating' from LCMS this year, but her two years there have afforded her the opportunity to learn, mature and grow into a more responsible young woman.” "When I drop my son off at school in the morning, I drive away feeling certain that he is in a safe and caring environment. I don't worry about him! I feel like he has all the advantages of a private school without the high cost of tuition. I don't mind contributing because I feel so blessed and privileged to be part of this amazing school. I wouldn't want my son anywhere else!" “Helping our children reach their potential is important to us. Supporting the school is simply a natural extension of our commitment to our children.” “Langston has been such a great help and blessing to our son, as well as to our peace of mind, and we look forward to our daughter also benefiting from the school this year. “Our twin daughters have thrived in only one year at Langston Charter Middle School. There is no other middle school in the upstate (Public or Private) that provides the nurturing, educational environment that Langston is able to provide.” “Financially contributing to Langston is just a small way that I can help ensure that this incredible school continues to benefit our community’s children for generations to come.” “Langston wouldn’t be here today if some dedicated parents two years ago had not invested. Now it’s our turn to help widen the circle and we are more than willing to answer the call.”
